Exploring Edinbarnet’s fantastic new Outdoor Learning area!
Following the recent renovation of our infant playground, the boys and girls of primary 1 were excited to explore the new fantastic new outdoor learning resources that have been purchased to support and enhance the teaching and learning in the classroom. The children used this opportunity to consolidate what they had been learning in class throughout the week, across the different curricular areas. Using our planning board, the children planned in advance where they wanted to learn and what skills they would be applying/developing in the outdoor area. Following their play session, the children were then given the opportunity to reflect on their learning using our reflection dice and encouraged to think about what their next steps would be to improve their learning.
